We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in region 442 to assist in handling a wide range of administrative tasks. The role is based out of our Regional Office in Roanoke, VA. This is a 40 hours per week position.

This individual should be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills. Our desired candidate must possess the ability to problem solve and work independently. The ability to handle a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities is essential.

This position is hourly. Starting wage is $16.25/hr. with the potential to earn the following benefits:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Reviews and maintains equipment and employee files and related databases.
  • Photocopying, Scanning and Faxing.
  • Answers, directs, and makes phone calls.
  • Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and email.
  • Types documents and data entry.
  • Maintain a professional work area. (Conference room, front desk, waiting area and supply areas).
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Light office cleaning

The function or duties of the position include protecting and maintaining the privacy of employee personnel records, including compensation information.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screenings.
  • Knowledge of office and business practices, equipment, and procedures.
  • Must have organizational skills.
  • Must be able to meet short deadlines and be able to multi-task.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to field calls from customers.
