The Field Facing Analysis - Supervisor is responsible for helping to design and grow processes for planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.  Reporting to the respective segment Field Facing Analysis - Senior Manager, the role will operate in a matrix organization with responsibilities for designing and maturing FP&A and Accounting processes at both the field and corporate level.

The Supervisor is expected to work effectively across the company, evidenced by strong business partnership with the FP&A, accounting, field, IT, and business development functions. This position is expected to challenge and support the business, increasing our ability to anticipate issues and identify opportunities, and drive informed data-driven decision making through diligent financial management. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, client-first strategic thinker, as well as a strong analyst with a proven track record of success in progressive finance roles.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze 2025 Budget and work towards developing budgeting process improvements. The current product needs to be matured to include additional details, such as budgeting for projected expenses at a GL account level, etc. 
  • Assist in the development of new forecasting processes such as a monthly “material item update”, and a quarterly detailed estimate process
  • Work to develop a set of more comprehensive financial reports for operational leadership, ensuring everyone is looking at one set of numbers. Example, helping to create reports that walk cost report forward to consolidated GAAP result
  • Partner with field to increase education on future state of the finance organization. This may include education on future budgeting processes, training on how consolidated results are calculated, etc. 
  • Examine current reporting landscape and identify areas of inaccuracies and/or missing data. Partner with respective FP&A Product owner, I.T./reporting resources, and EPM implementation team to develop improved reporting.  Focus on making sure the business has the tools needed to do proper analysis
  • Partner with accounting to ensure cost/revenue coding is done accurately. Work on mapping of GL accounts to expense categories so that summarized details accurately reflect activities of the business
  • Assist in creation of financial decks and associated narratives. Use data driven analysis and critical thinking to understand drivers of revenue, cost and profit to clearly communicate performance drivers across the business (focus on why, not what)

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in finance roles, including experience in FP&A and / or Accounting,
  • General understanding of accounting principles
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • MBA or CPA a plus
  • Industry experience in vegetation management or utility infrastructure services is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels, including developing and maintaining relationships with Operations
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes, systems, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Prior work experience in detailed budgeting a plus
  • Potential travel to field offices on an as needed basis
