Fleet Support Technician
Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC has an opportunity for a Fleet Support Technician to provide fleet drivers, operators and suppliers with maintenance/repair solutions and technical service support.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist drivers, operators, and suppliers as needed. In-bound phone and/or email inquiries may include, but are not limited to:
- Locating suitable repair locations
- Troubleshooting
- Roadside, emergency assistance
- Warranty and in-service date inquiries
- Fleet service guidelines
- General fleet information
- Rental/Lease Vehicle Management
- Verify work order pricing for repairs and maintenance on company owned equipment.
- Route fleet repair authorization inquiries as necessary.
- Report issues with vendors regarding service as well as parts quality and availability.
- Provides accurate documentation on all maintenance and repair events.
- Maintain open communication with field personnel during major/extended repairs.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
- Responds positively to change, offers suggestions for improvements, remains calm and professional when faced with a challenge.
- Can be counted on to carry out assignments carefully and with appropriate follow-up. Overcomes obstacles to meet goals. Accepts personal accountability for his/her actions.
- Keeps manager and/or coworkers informed of work progress and other necessary information.
- Work with other groups within department to achieve goals.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in automotive industry (gas and diesel engines), aerial device, tractors, trailers, hydraulics, and other heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance required.
- Excellent customer service skills dedicated to being the best in the industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and able to learn our internal programs and systems.
- Ability to use phone system in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills.
- Some out-of-town travel required (25% or less).

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
