Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements on a monthly basis.
2. Preparation of Financial Statements for over 30 subsidiaries (includes foreign subsidiaries and holding companies) on a monthly basis.
3. Monthly written commentary on results, analytical reviews, etc.
4. Preparation of Quarterly Bank Financial Statements with covenants.
5. Preparation of Selected Operating Reports that are distributed to Executive Management and Field Vice Presidents and Managers.
6. Coordinate year-end closeout with internal staff and independent auditors. Primary contact with external auditors. Audits include the consolidated company audit, six subsidiary audits, three subsidiary reviews, and audits of the ESOP and 401(k) plans.
7. Assist CFO and Controller in performing due diligence on acquisition candidates. The company has a history of acquiring companies over the past several years.
8. Review Work in Process (WIP) for over 3,000 contracts and over $130M balance to ensure that there are no unrecorded losses.
9. Responsible for closing the monthly P&L for each field region
10. Review accruals to ensure adequate balances.
11. Research Accounting Pronouncements and provide opinion as required on certain accounting issues.
12. Work closely with CFO and Controller on special projects such as integration of new and acquired companies, evaluate new lease options, review bid worksheets, evaluate bank financing, etc.
13. Create and implement analytical tools and templates to evaluate the operating performance for each of the subsidiaries and divisions
Requirements:
1. Must have a BS in Accounting.
2. Must be a CPA.
3. Must have 5 to 7 years experience, experience with large company preferred.
4. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
5. Must be a Leader who promotes Teamwork.
6. Must be able to delegate.
7. Must have good PC skills.
8. Must have good social skills in dealing with internal personnel and outsiders.
