JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant - DOT TRAINING COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

 STATUS:  Fulltime

 REPORTS TO:  Regional Safety Supervisor

 LOCATION: Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX

We are seeking a highly motivated, focused compliance professional to be a part of our compliance team. The successful candidate will be an organized self-starter with strong attention-to-detail and positive attitude. This individual must be able to work well-independently as well as be a contributing member to various cross-functional teams.

 

Summary

Acts as the DOT Specialist and Training Compliance Specialist for Asplundh Tree Expert Co;  Works closely with other departments and field operations that will supply information and determinations that could change the status of a company driver.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordination and administration of DOT/NON-DOT Compliance to include medical exams, drug testing, licensing, and driver qualification files
  • Prepares reports and presentations for the manager and Regional Safety Supervisors
  • Ability to accomplish work and prioritize workload with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Completes Motor Vehicle Requests for current and prospective employees; initiates companywide MVR annual screening
  • Tracks information to ensure documents such as Medical Cards and Drivers Licenses are up to date and accurate
  • Provides administrative support including typing, filing, copying, faxing, scheduling meetings, etc.
  • Travels as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Creates Spreadsheets
  • Tracks Employee Training
  • Audits Employee Files for Accuracy

 

Education

A high school diploma (will receive on-the job-training).

Should have completed or be willing to complete the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Compliance Course, CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor Certification, and Decision Driver Instructor Certification.
